Doha Airport – Roadway Canopy

The elevated road canopy is a steel structure which has overall plan dimensions of about 70,2 x 9,9m. The main structure is a sequence of steel cantilevers that support a glass roof cover linked to a secondary steel structure of wt structural sections.

Each steel cantilever consists in a vertical column (tapereed built-up box section) from which continues a curved beam (tapered built-up box section). The "horizontal" jib is the portion of the cantilever that carries the secondary steel structure. The glass panels are supported by the secondary steel structure.
